Why does love make people act so strangely? I wouldn’t know, because I have never been in love before, so why do people act so different when they think someone likes them? To me, love should be something wonderful, not something that makes you incredibly nervous around the person you like. What causes people to act so weird when they like someone? Is it the fear of being rejected that changes them so?

One of my friends recently got a love letter from a girl he knows. Now he’s on pins and needles all the time. He’s always distracted, as if he’s trying to figure something out. And what’s worse, while we know he received the letter, he refuses to tell us who it was from.

Maybe I’m just being insensitive because I’ve never experienced what it’s like to be in love. Like I said, I don’t even know who the girl is. Maybe he has a reason to be nervous. But it seems like he’s overreacting to the situation. While he’s always been a loner, I always thought he felt that he could open up to us. He’s acting very differently from the way I’ve come to expect him to act. I’m not so sure I like this change in him. I hope he’s okay.

What would you do if you were in his situation? If you got a love letter from someone you liked, would you be nervous? Is it normal for someone in love to clam up like this, to distance himself from his friends and to be constantly preoccupied with thoughts of the girl he likes?

I’m so worried about him. This kind of behavior could be extremely unhealthy, this keeping to himself all the time… What should I do?

Hello world! My name is Aelita Stones, and this is my personal blog! My friend Jeremie suggested that I have one to record my thoughts so that all of my friends can keep up with me, and all my other friends are getting one! I know that sounds incredibly cliché, but it’s true!
